Cosmetology 10‐Month Instructor (Cook)
CAMPUS: Cook STATUS: Full-time POSTING TYPE: Regular posting
Under general supervision, will provide instruction to students at the Cooks Campus in Cosmetology courses. Demonstrates the use of appropriate teaching techniques. Demonstrates the use of appropriate testing and grading procedures including proper maintenance of grade books and any other appropriate record‐keeping required. Demonstrates the effective use of oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates knowledge of current cosmetology practices as regulated by the State Board of Cosmetology. Follows approved course syllabus. Completes all reports, records and other documentation in a timely manner. Hours will be during the day and will contain teaching some high school classes. Position may include variable hours. Requirements include ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by complying with college health and safety policies, standard practices in maintaining occupational health and safety legislation and regulations.
*Annual salary is based on an approved 10 month/190 day salary schedule and pay will be pro‐rated over a 12 month period.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master Cosmetologist License in the State of Georgia. At least 3 of the last 7 years must be employed in field. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience teaching at the post‐secondary level.
SALARY/BENEFITS
Salary is $33,333/yr. Annual salary is based on an approved 10 month salary schedule. Total annual pay will be pro‐rated over a 12 month period. This is a full time position with standard State of GA benefits.
