Responsibilities include but are not limited to classroom and clinical instruction and supervision of health care and Nursing students. Develops, implements, and evaluates evidenced‐based activities in the Learning/Simulation Lab in coordination with course faculty. Participates in simulation activities as primary instructor or as technical support to faculty. Demonstrates nursing skills and techniques to students. Uses information technologies skillfully to support teaching‐learning process including the use of high‐fidelity human simulators. Utilizes critical thinking skills to effectively communicate information, observations and/or activities to students. Provides individual and small group tutoring in the Lab. Provides ongoing feedback to students related to their strengths and weaknesses in the performance of skills. Demonstrates professionalism and sensitivity when interacting with students/peers. Serves as a role model for professional nursing by ensuring safety and security requirements are met; maintenance of student files; and other duties as assigned. *This position is funded from Perkins grant.
Position may include variable hours, including weekend clinical supervision of students. Requirements include ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by complying with college health and safety policies, standard practices in maintaining occupational health and safety legislation and regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university. Must have at least three years related work experience in the past seven years as an RN. Current Georgia Registered Professional Nursing License required. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Must be self‐motivated and willing to serve as an active part of the allied health team.
*The successful candidate will be required to undergo a 10‐panel Drug Screen and Physical Examination with satisfactory results. The candidate must also have an American Heart BLS for Health Care Providers CPR card. If assigned to a clinical or hospital setting, the successful candidate will be required to complete PPD (TB Test);
Tdap‐Tetanus/Diptheria/Pertussis; Influenza Vaccination (current seasonal); Hep B Vaccine #1, #2, and #3, and possibly provide a positive Hep B Titer Lab Report depending on the clinical location; Varicella #1 and #2 OR a positive Varicella Titer; and MMR Vaccine #1 and #2 OR a positive MMR Titer.*
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Meets all minimum qualifications along with experience conducting nursing lab simulations.
SALARY/BENEFITS
Salary is $25/hr. This is a part‐time temorary position, no more than 20 hours per week, and funded from Perkins grant. Does not include benefits or a promise of future full time employment.
