TCSG student organizations select state officers

Each spring, student leaders are elected to their respective state student organizations by their peers as a slate of state officers. During state officer training, they participate in a variety of leadership development activities and interviews with higher education professionals who help appoint them to specific officer positions. This year, the state officer training was held at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta SW. They were appointed to the following positions for their respective student organizations for the 2024 – 2025 school year:

Georgia Student Government Association State Officers:

President – Julio Fierro, Athens Technical College
Vice President / Parliamentarian – Kayden Cash, Gwinnett Technical College
Secretary / Historian – Clayton Adams, Athens Technical College

Future Business Leaders of America Georgia Collegiate State Officers:

President – Jodi Dyer, University of West Georgia
Executive Vice President – Jenni Perez-Bacilio, Lanier Technical College
Vice President of Communication – Glenn Freeman, Kennesaw State University
Vice President of Membership – Elijah Murphy, Southern Crescent Technical College
Vice President of Fundraising – Kaia Dolor, University of West Georgia
Vice President of Projects – Taylor Lowery, West Georgia Technical College

National Technical Honor Society State Officers:

President – Pamela Wagner, Southern Regional Technical College
Vice President – Will Kirkland, Athens Technical College
Historian / Parliamentarian – Kya Hill, Southern Regional Technical College
Secretary – Dolores Bradley, Southern Regional Technical College

SkillsUSA Georgia Postsecondary State Officers:

President – Corina Stewart, Savannah Technical College
Vice President – Rashell Tanner, Augusta Technical College
Secretary – Shelby Colbaugh, Lanier Technical College
Treasurer – Lilli Cabaniss, Athens Technical College
Reporter – Joseph DeLima, Lanier Technical College
Parliamentarian – Robby Buice, Lanier Technical College

In addition, the state officer teams developed their programs of work for the upcoming school year. The training concluded with the Paper Plate Superlatives Ceremony where the officers shared something positive about a fellow state officer!
